The story in a few words
After
having broken up with his girlfriend and left his job, Simon has come back to
his small hometown in the countryside, where he has met again with his old
friend Julien. The two thirty-years-old unemployed idle men decide to reinvest
an old dream from their teenage years: hitting the road for an adventurous
journey. They buy a huge motor-home, but the trip is delayed by various
troubles, and they decide to start their journey ... on the spot. Through this
first motionless stage of their trip, the two friends, confronted to themselves
and what they wanted to run away from, start taking different paths...
If he realizes his first full-length film today, François Pirot is already an major author of the Belgian cinema. He co-wrote in particular "Élève libre" and "Nue propriété", of Joachim Lafosse, the plot qualities of which made the unanimity both in the criticism and with the general public. François also already realized several short films about which " Retraite ", multi-rewarded in the most prestigious festivals (Grand Prix to the Festival The court says length 2005 about it, Grand Prix of the best first European short film to the festival Foregrounds of Angers 2006) and spread(broadcasted) on Arte in television. An author of future to be followed, that Tarantula is proud to produce today.
